Thursday night/ Friday, 13Feb

I love the towels.

Our last day on the ship. How depressing. Days go by way too fast on vacation, but this one seemed faster than many others. Hopefully a relaxing day today goes slow. Like I said, we’re just going to lounge around and maybe walk through some of the shops here. Only thing I have bought is a bottle of pure vanilla extract. I guess we didn’t even really buy it ourselves-we had Ryan and Lee look for some when they went shopping one day. The only thing I ever really buy from any trip is a magnet from our vacation. I never bought one on any of our stops in Mexico so I guess I better get one today. That will likely be the highlight of the day-picking out a magnet. Ha.

I guess I haven’t really talked too much about all the food here. My goodness, I didn’t know it was possible for me to never be hungry any time during an entire week. It’s unreal. Yesterday we got up late so we decided to skip breakfast. At lunch, what all did I eat again? I actually made myself a chicken salad. I took some breaded chicken from the grill area and cut it up in my salad. I also ate two pieces of wheat bread; chocolate covered apple and pineapple; slice of baked ham; stuffed baked potato; macaroni; and a strawberry ice cream cone. If that wasn’t bad enough, Ted was hungry a few hours later and he ate a few chicken strips and a bowl of fries. I was trying to be strong and not eat anything, but I couldn’t pass up a few fries from his plate.

At dinner, Ryan and Lee said as they were roaming around yesterday, the Carnival Doctor stopped and took some pictures for them. Chatting with him for a while he said it’s been a pretty mild week compared to the last two. Last week he had FIVE, I repeat, FIVE heart attacks on board. Isn’t that crazy?

Well, I guess I don’t know too much else. Unless something crazy happens this afternoon, this will likely be my last post for our trip. Hope all of you enjoyed reading and keeping up on our travels. I’ve enjoyed sitting down and writing about our days. It’s a good way for us to look back and remember our trip as well.

Look forward to seeing some of you soon!

Love,
Britt and Ted

-Dad and Mom- I tried calling yesterday, but it cut me off right away so I didn’t try back. I won’t call until tomorrow when we’re at the airport.

Wednesday evening / Thursday 12Feb

It’s mid afternoon here on the ship on Thursday. It’s been a day at sea for us as we travel to Nassau. I’ll begin with Wednesday evening then get to today.

After our update yesterday we came back and showered for the evening. Funny thing, I am one who always has to shower every morning otherwise I feel pretty disgusting the entire day. Only Sunday have I gotten up to shower in the morning. Otherwise, I’ve showered right before dinner every night and have not looked too homely the next day.

Anyways, after showering we wanted to head up to the Amber Palace, their entertainment venue which seats likely around 2,000 people. Before the comedian at 7:00, they had a half price BINGO. We each grabbed a card and sat down with our dinner mates, Lee and Ryan. The object of the BINGO game was to make an L, going down the B column and across the bottom row. I switched cards with Ted at the last minute since I saw my favorite number on his (33). We were given three cards to play off of for $10. The lady starts yelling out numbers and I thought for sure somebody has to be getting close to a BINGO. Anyone who had one number left was asked to stand up. She kept calling numbers and I probably got four in a row until I was down to one left. Therefore, I stood up in the 2nd row all excited at the possibility of winning $375! I only needed I28. The next number up…..was an I…….18. Nope, not mine. She went threw a few B’s. Then a G. Then some other number and somebody else yelled BINGO! DANG IT! Didn’t the lady know I had been standing up by myself for five numbers in a row and she was suppose to call I28? Had Ted been holding the card, I’m sure she would’ve found a way to find the I28 ball since he is so dang lucky. During my time up off my seat I was thinking, what do I want to buy with this money? Shoes? Clothes? Shoes? Shoes? I had my mind set on a few new pairs of shoes. That thought quickly faded when someone else had the lucky card. Oh well.
Next up was the comedian, Tommy Drake. He was outstanding. At one point, I was laughing so hard I had tears coming down my cheeks. He even mixed in some magic with his show. He started juggling a bowling ball, an apple, and a machete all together. Then he started mixing it up and would take bites out of his apple. Quite impressive. But, even more impressive was the fact that apparently he held a world record in 1992 for taking 42 bites out of three apples while juggling in 11 seconds. Hard to imagine that even being possible, but he proved to us it was. He has another show tonight (Thursday) that Ted and I may try making it to.

After the comedian was over, it was dinner time. Another filling meal, then we decided to partake in some games. The Carnival Cruise Lines slogan is, “The Fun Ship”. As part of their “fun” they have competitions every day which earn points for your team which is based on which deck you are on the cruise. Us being on the lower deck, we are part of the red team. There is also the blue and white team. They had activities for each team to earn points toward their team total. Our first stop was in the casino. They asked for four male and female volunteers. Since no one was stepping forward, Ted, Ryan, Lee, and myself and jumped in along with four others. The first game required the girls on one side and the men on the other. The object was to move a spoon attached to a string through the clothes of one individual to the next going top to bottom then bottom to top. I was the first one so I had to weave it down my shirt, through my jeans and pass off to Lee to go up her dress and out. We beat the boys the first time down, but apparently coming back was what counted for points (not really sure why they divided us and gave one team the points-but whatever). On the way back it was neck in neck, and I think the Carnival guy who was judging (who was actually from Iowa) was being biased and declared the boys the winner. In any event, pretty funny to watch. After a few more games, we made our way to the next location. This area required some dancing and jumping around, nothing too major. After that was our final location, the best part of the evening. Here, we started off by doing a game with a balloon and passing over and under peoples’ legs to see how fast we could complete. Then, the Carnival gal picked some people for our group for the next game. Lucky Ted, was chosen. He had no idea what was in store for him! Three men were chosen and were partnered with another lady. Ted had a lady likely in her 60’s from the Bronx. Her accent made me laugh. I’ll let the pictures doing the talking first.

Ted showin off his dance moves

Ted waiting for his partner. I laughed when I noticed the other guy in the background!

Ted wondering, “what did I get myself into?”

No explanation needed.

Again no explanation needed

So, the ladies had to blow up a balloon, run over, and pop it chest to chest. Then, they had to run back, blow up another one, run back, and put it inbetween the guys legs and pop it. The last one, well, you can see how they had to pop that one. One of the ladies who was in the lead-I’m surprised she didn’t break her partners’ back. She came running over-put the balloon on top of his back and just flattened him three times. Hopefully he didn’t have any back problems already! A round of applause for Ted for being a good sport at least!

Another day at sea. We both slept in until 10! It was great. It’ll be hard getting back on schedule when we return. Headed up to the deck to catch some sun-and most of the good seats were already taken. Found a couple at the back of the deck. Ted pulled out his book and started reading. I skipped the book as the wind was terrible and just laid there daydreaming for a bit. Went in at noon for some lunch. Ted was looking forward to today-they had an eating station dedicated entirely to chocolate. I’ve never seen so much in my life-all kinds of chocolate cake, muffins, chocolate wontons, chocolate fountain, the list goes on. Another big lunch and we were good to go for another hour. I did manage to find my strawberry yogurt ice cream and I was set. Back outside until 2:00, then we figured we’d come in for a bit. Nothing too exciting, but very relaxing. Tonight is our other formal dinner night. We’ll get some photos with Ryan and Lee, along with our waiters who have been superb. I don’t know how these guys and gals do this day in and day out. Not only do they wait our tables at dinner, but they are working breakfast and lunch to. Not much time to relax for any of them.

Tomorrow we port in Nassau. We decided we won’t go on any excursions and just walk around and lounge on the ship all day. Soak in some sun hopefully!

Hope all is well back home and the weather is still warm. Deb and Joel-I’ll respond to your questions when we get back since I don’t get much internet time. Dick and Shirley-I did see your message. Grandma and Grandpa, hope you are both feeling well. Brent, I take it your computer is virus free now. Mom and Dad, I’ll be ready for a home cooked meal when we return…Megan, tell Cooper hello as well-we’re excited for the two of you and can’t wait to hear more about your plans! Brian and Jackie-you’re probably still in Tampa enjoying the warm weather too. Dean and Marge-we have only watched the sunset one night and it was too cloudy to see the green flash. Mary-thanks for the weather update...GRRRR!

Mayan Ruins

Our turkey for the night.

After dinner picture.

Ted and his happy face with his chocolate desert.

Britt’s plate. Notice the bubble bath by her carrots. The green thing in the back is a pea terd with bacon bits. We believed the white circle on top was a marshmallow.

Britt with her fancy shrimp cocktail.

On the last platform. We obviously got a little wet in the rain forest.

Britt has her game time face on.

Ted is ready to go!

We skipped a day in the blog!!! Too much to do and too little time. Today is actually Wednesday and we just got back to the ship from our excursion for today. I’ll start with our adventure from Tuesday, in between bites of my chex mix which I’m starting to finish off. A true sign of too much food on a ship-I still have chex mix left after six days. I actually plan on going to the gym this afternoon to at a minimum, weigh myself. Anyhow, on to less depressing subjects.

Tuesday we ported in Belize. We actually had to sink the anchor a ways away from the city, as they have many coral reefs they don’t want destroyed by huge mother ships such as ours. Therefore, we all had to ferry in about 20 minutes to the city. Our planned excursion for the day was a Canopy Tour-zip lining and rappelling through the rain forest. Ryan and Lee were on the same tour-so it was nice to have someone to talk to along the way. They bused us over an hour to the rain forest. We drove through part of Belize City, and what we saw, was a city full of waste and poor people. The houses were all run down shacks needing major repair, but appeared as though that would never happen. When I get upset seeing others throw gum out a window, this is nothing in comparison to the amount of garbage strewn around the city. Our tour guide for the trip to the rain forest was a nice woman likely in her 20’s. A few interesting facts she shared: Belize is only 130 miles long and 65 miles wide at its’ widest point; over 50% of the population are under 20; there is only 1 man to every 10 women. The last 20 minutes of our ride was all off road-not a great feeling in a school bus whose shocks were likely lost the first time the bus took this section of road. Our tour guide said it’s likely the only massage we’ll ever have without hands!

Once we finally hit the rain forest we were fitted with our gear. I had turned around to look up in the forest when I heard someone calling my name. Not recognizing the voice, I turned back around to see that it was Ted, all fitted in his gear. His voice had jumped a few octaves to an almost unrecognizable state. We trekked through the forest to our first platform and we were off. There were five platforms we zip lined from and two rappelling points. Overall, a fun experience, but not the best thrill I was expecting.

When we made it back to the ship, we grabbed a quick bite to eat for lunch (by this time it was already 3:30). Then, we sat out on the deck for a few hours relaxing and reading. Back to our room to shower and get ready for our Supper Club dinner experience. For a few extra dollars we could eat at their special restaurant and have a five course meal. An “ok” meal, but as I told Ted, my fillet mignon from Disney World was far superior to the fillet I had there. You’ll see a few pictures of the creations they brought for us to eat. We were likely the only obnoxious people who kept taking pictures of their food. Oh well.

That pretty much sums up our Wednesday. I’ll let Ted write about today’s tour.

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Wednesday we woke up to breakfast in bed with some muffins and a tasty bowl of lucky charms. You are able to order room service whenever you like and could order anything and have it delivered to your room for no extra price. A pretty nice perk.

We found ourselves spending the day in Costa Maya, which is a port along the peninsula of Mexico. For our shore excursion today, we booked a guided tour of the Mayan Chacchoben Ruins. We hopped on a van and made a 40 minute trek to ruins. We had a tour guide on the van to provide some details of the local area. She was from Argentina and had only been working for the company for three weeks, so didn’t seem to know much and wasn’t able to answer many of our questions. We did stop along the way to what the locals called the best pineapple in the world. I was willing to give it a try, but I thought it would be hard to beat the pineapple in Hawaii. I was correct. It wasn’t much better then the pineapple that we eat in the States. Once we arrived at the ruins site, we hit up the bathrooms before we started the tour. People here try to make money any way they can. There was a guy in the bathroom that would turn on the water for you, push the soap dispenser button and provide you a paper towel. Of course, he was doing all this to get tips and you felt pressured to give him a dollar to get out of the bathroom, which I did. Next, we were thankfully greeted by our real tour guide David. David is an actual Mayan and had grown up in the Mayan village nearby, so he was full of interesting details regarding the ruins site and the Mayan civilization. The Mayan ruin site that we had visited was built in 600 B.C. There are many structures still standing and archeologists have repaired the structures that are deteriorating. The site consisted of three temples and the housing area for the elite. It was very interesting to learn about the Mayans and amazing to see how intelligent they were for their time.

After the ruins tour, we headed back to the port and did a little shopping. Pretty much all of these shops sell the same cheap garbage. Nothing that looks very nice and worth showing in your home. One shop that has been consistent between the ports is a store call Diamonds International. Every single port has had at least one these stores. It has been the first store once you enter the city. I think these are the stores where they get rid of the large poor quality diamonds to people thinking they are getting amazing deals on jewelry. We went through one of the shops and let Britt try on some of the bling. The salesman tried telling us this was their “Grand Opening Day” and he was going to offer one low price only” for the tanzanite ring Britt tried on. His selling price: 2200! Luckily, I got her out of there without spending any money. I have a feeling I might get a guilt trip from her since I wouldn’t let her buy anything and I will have to buy her something when I get home.

Tonight, we will go eat more food of course and watch a comedian and probably play some blackjack as Britt has seemed to gain a liking for it. Tomorrow we are at sea all day and will be likely lounging by the pool and enjoying the day in the sun.

Random thoughts from Britt:
I weighed myself. They rigged the scale. Shows I’m only up one pound. Is that really possible? Will try again later to see if I was delusional or not.
Just ate a vanilla ice cream cone since they didn’t have strawberry yogurt. I am declaring their ice cream better than Dairy Queen.
It costs $6.99 to call home from our room. I don’t see any pay phones anywhere to use a calling card. If I want to call home, I can use my cell phone for $2.50/minute. That’s ridiculous!
I am paying 75cents/minute to use the internet. I am wise and type this all up ahead of time so I only spend a few minutes actually on the internet. But, today it’s their “SPECIAL”! Half price internet. What a bargain.
Almost forgot to mention, Ted left our camera at a table one night. Luckily someone came running after us with it!

Brent-22Feb will work.

Sunday 8Feb cont. / Monday, 9 Feb

Britt here. It’s Monday evening and we just got back from our excursion in Mexico. Let me first write about the rest of our evening before I get to today.

After posting our blog last night-it was back to our room to get ready for formal night. I was all excited to get dressed up in my new dress and new shoes for the evening. I even did my hair up for once-quite a change from the normal dry and let be hair-do I display every day. As I was curling my hair, it brought me back to the days of Show Choir where I would single-handedly waste an entire bottle of hairspray on my own hair just to make the curls stay for a performance. Poor Ted was breathing in fumes for 30 minutes.

Old Theodore was at his old tricks of forgetting things-and somehow managed to forget a pair of dress socks. He checked out the gift store, but to no avail, could locate any. Thus, dressed up Homer was sporting some short white socks. Luckily, the floods weren’t coming through and his pants were long enough to hide the embarrassment of the white socks.

At dinner, I found myself ordering strawberry bisque for an appetizer. Tasted like the two strawberry yogurt ice cream cones I had earlier in the day, only it was melted. I was still happy! All four of us ordered the lobster tail and shrimp for dinner, which was quite tasty. After dinner, we went on the deck for a photo op. We opted out of the cruise scripted photo opportunities and settled on the cheap self portraits taken by Ryan. Upon completion of our photo session, we decided to hang out with the two of them in a lounge which had a lady playing some light piano music. Striking up conversations with others around, we met a lady who was born in Dennison, Iowa, which is where my sister and brother-in-law both live, along with my other sister-in-law’s family. She had since moved away a long time ago and has no family ties to the area anymore, but still small world. We then met a couple from Dubuque. He was three sheets to the wind-but during our conversation-asked if I knew anyone by the name of Cummins from Denver. Not knowing the name I told him no, then we turned the subject to where we worked. Upon informing Jim we worked at John Deere-his buddy, Tom Cummins, came up again. At that point I recognized the name, a marketing manager at the facility I work at. I’ve spoken to him once or twice-but now have reason to say hi again as Jim shared a story I am to ask him about. That was the rest of our evening and we called it a night.

Woke up at 9, opening our shades to Cozumel. Got ready and grabbed a quick breakfast before we found our way off the dock. I took some sea sickness medicine just incase the waters would be rough. We took a taxi to the Marina where we were to leave from. 13 other folks were on the excursion with us, only one family from the Carnival ship. Before we left, the owner came and told us the waters would be rough-leading me to grab another pill incase I were to get sick. He said the winds were up to 20 knots-not sure what the conversion is, but enough to think, OH GREAT We spent an hour sailing out before we dropped the anchor. We had dropped a fishing rod in along the way and were lucky enough to catch a 20 pound barracuda they filleted up for lunch later in the day. We didn’t physically catch the fish-but had a little kid reel him in. Once we anchored, we took a small raft to a beach shore for about an hour. There wasn’t really much of a beach, so I just laid out for a bit while Ted roamed and found himself a hermit crab. A young British girl got quite seasick on the way out, making it unbearable to listen to-and I at one point was concerned I would be using a bucket alongside her. Luckily, my overdose on medicine paid off. Note: I do not recommend my overdose for anyone reading this. Only skilled individuals should attempt this.
After returning to the catamaran, they busted out the parasailing swing or whatever I should be calling it. I opted to sit on the boat, as it would’ve required me to hop into the water and not know where I was going to go. You’ll see a few pictures of Ted enjoying his time in the sky. Lunch was then served-a good Mexican selection, then off to another spot to attempt snorkeling. Again, I stayed in the boat with the waves being pretty choppy. Ted only managed to see a lobster and a star fish before he headed back in. He said it was quite difficult to swim out in the waters, making him tire quickly. Probably a good thing I stayed back. After that, it was time to head back to the marina. On our way back, they caught another barracuda which I’m sure they’ll split and take home amongst the three crew members. When it was time to return to the boat, the owner had called a taxi for us to share with the other family aboard. The taxi was waiting for us and got us back to our port in 15 minutes. We got out, and the driver asked for $20 between the two families. We were all quite shocked after we only spent $12 on the way out. The other family was quite upset as well as they only spent $10. I guess there are really no laws governing what rate they charge-therefore, they basically can take advantage of the tourists-and we have no way of doing anything about it. Quite upsetting, but, what do you do?

So, we are back in the room. I have since showered and am writing. Ted is fast asleep on the bed, a bit sun burnt in some areas he “forgot” to put sunscreen on: his arms, upper shoulders, parts of his face, and one side of his chest. I don’t feel too sorry, as I am always reminding him to put it all over. I guess I better finish getting ready for dinner here. Tomorrow we are porting in Belize and going on a zip lining tour. Can’t wait, should be a blast! Hope all is well back home.

Sat Feb 7 / Sun Feb 8

Saturday, 7Feb

We’re cruising!
Made it to Orlando just after midnight last night and to our hotel some time after 1:00 am. Slept in til just after 9, ate at one of the worst continental breakfasts ever, showered and on the road. Took our time driving to Cape Caneveral, stopping at Walmart to buy some pop to bring aboard the ship. Once aboard we grabbed a bite to eat at one of the many buffet stations on the Lido deck. Or, should I say a few platefuls? Has any other cruiser wondered why cruiseships do not provide a scale for each room? I pondered just that at lunch today. Would that save the ship money per passenger? Or would it deter guests away from possible repeat visits? Do they avoid it because they want the guests to be happy customers and then they can fret once they return home? Did you know, the average guest gains between 7-14 pounds per cruise. Seems a bit outrageous to me-but I imagine I could be in that category by the time I’m home. Unless, of course, I run! Running-it’s actually what we’re going to go do right now. Seems almost sinful to run on vacation, doesn’t it? I would have to agree.

After running, we came back, showered, and got ready for dinner. We were nervous we’d be seated with people we wouldn’t have anything to talk about, so we had a quick exit plan. We actually were seated with another couple, Ryan and Lee, from Augusta, Georgia. Great conversation, great people, and a great dinner, all except for the loud drunk table right next to us. A table of at least 10, all of who I’d say had a few too many drinks beforehand. At least a half dozen times one of the men started yelling, “ole-ole…ole-ole….”. We then spent a few minutes in the casino playing blackjack, walking away $25 ahead…woohoo! The 10:15pm showcase in the Amber Palace greeted us with a subpar Show Choir performance (Ted said the three pretty blondes with pretty much nothing on made up for it), followed by a hilarious comedian. Called it a night after that.

Sunday, 8Feb

Slept until 9:30. It was easy to do with no dogs waking us up at 6:30 wanting to eat. Plus, the sun wasn’t peeking through our shades to even give us an idea of what time it was. A quick dress and a buffet breakfast before Britt wanted to test her hand in a ping-pong tournament. We get up there to find our buddy Ryan waiting (as we had told him last night Britt was going to test her skills). Britt thought she’d scare off the competition by wearing one of her Iowa State Intramural Championship shirts, but the only person she scared was me. I lost to her in the first round after a heroic comeback, losing 11-9. I thought for sure Britt would win the tournament since she was so successful in college winning many intramural championships in ping pong, but after seeing a guy with his very own ping pong paddle, I knew the competition was going to be tough. Britt ended up getting completely destroyed by some dorky looking dude 11-3. She definitely was not deserving of wearing that Iowa State Intramural Champion T-shirt. I don’t think I will let her wear that shirt anymore and disgrace my beloved University. After Britt’s brutal defeat, Britt, Ryan, and I headed to the mini-golf course on the top deck to practice our putt putt game. Ryan was victorious, as he spends much of his free time on the golf courses in Augusta (lucky guy). He hasn’t golfed at Augusta National, but his Dad has golfed there THREE times! Deli sandwiches for lunch, some chocolate cake for me for dessert, and strawberry yogurt ice cream, which Britt was happy to find, and we were back to our cabin for a snooze. I think we’ll head out and take a few pictures around the cruise to post on here for you all.

Tonight is our formal dinner, so it’s dress up night. Britt will be prancing around in one of her new dresses and a pair of her many shoes that she bought for the trip. I think she is pretty excited to get dressed up because she is easily going to be one of the most beautiful women on the ship (I’m not just saying that to get her on my good side either ). Britt says that it’s not too hard to do since most of the women are 50 or Janet’s age as Britt would put it….hehehe you know we are just kidding Janet.

This will be the only vacation where Britt can bring as many clothes and shoes as she wishes. How many pairs would you guess she packed? 5 or 6? NO, try 9! That’s right, 9 pairs of shoes! That’s averaging more than 1/day. With all those shoes, I managed to weigh in at 52.5 pounds, just over the weight limit for baggage. Luckily, the counter lady was ok with it, I just can’t bring anything back I guess. Britt’s bag weighed 47.5, so she wanted me to note that she packed less (although I put almost all of her shoes in my bag).

Small world note: Yesterday after our run, we were riding the elevator to get back to our room, when one of the two men with us noticed the small University Book and Supply logo on Ted’s sand volleyball shirt. We struck up a conversation with the two, the one now lives in Dubuque, but is originally from Denver, IA (about 25 minutes North of us). They got off the elevator before we were able to talk anymore.
Tomorrow, we are off to Cozumel to do a full day of sail boating on a Catamaran. We will be going to several of the reefs to snorkel (don’t worry everyone, I will take good care of Britt), eat some food, do some fishing and parasail. Britt is really looking forward to the parasailing and snorkeling. It should be a blast. We’ll be back tomorrow with some pictures for everyone. Brent& Sarah and Megan & Luke, give our niece and nephews a big hug and kiss for use. Mom, give buddy a scratch on his belly from us.

We love you guys.

Feel free to leave us a note. We always look forward to logging in the next day to read them!

This is Britt with Budrick. We named him Budrick since Buddy and Maverick cannot be with us.

Bon Voyage!

5:00 pm…Sitting in the Moline airport. Arrive here to find out our flight is delayed 90 minutes. Wonderful. Good thing our layover in Atlanta is long so we should make our flight to Orlando.
When we got home at lunch, I had the dogs out while I was completing my packing. They seemed to know they were leaving, because they were both running around the house like crazy dogs (well, I guess that isn’t much different than normal).
We had to make a stop in Cedar Rapids for lunch. For those who don’t know, I travel to Cedar Rapids every Tuesday night for an MBA course. It is a requirement for this travel to stop at Sonic every week for dinner. I may be semi-obsessed with the fast food joint-but no one can beat their great hamburgers and Strawberry Limeades. Anyways, it was Ted’s idea to stop. A hamburger for both and ½ price limeades. The best! I even gave it a shot with a 44 ounce one-holy hugeness! Oh, and I almost forgot. My tradition is to make chex mix before each vacation we go on. I made two batches-and we already ate 1/3 of it
Ted and I were standing in line waiting to check in when we were talking about our trip to Disney World which we took with my family over Christmas. It was such a blast-but unfortunately, there were so many people there that we barely were able to ride any of the rides. We tossed out getting up early tomorrow morning and hitting up one of the parks until early afternoon-but tickets are $75. I think we’ll have to pass.
Anyhow, we are leaving to 52 degree temperatures in Moline-hopefully they are equally as warm when we return!
