My first trip!

Hooray!  Hoorah!  My my oh Ma!  I get to sleep overnight somewhere other than my house or Grammie's house!  Da has a two day work trip in Des Moines and he couldn't stand being away from me so he asked if I wanted to come along.  He knew I would say yes without a doubt.  The only question I had was if he was going to invite Ma along too.  Otherwise, I really didn't know how I would survive.  So, we all packed up the car and drove on down to West Des Moines.  

Tomorrow while Da is off at class, Ma and I are hopefully going to go walk around the mall.  Then, it's off to meet Uncle Brian for lunch.  Afterwards, Ma and I are headed to Clive to visit some old friends of Ma, the Spark's.  It should r a really fun day.  And if that wasn't enough, Ma told me that we are going to the Drake Relays on Friday!!!  Yes!  Yes!  And more Yes!!! This is really going to be a fun few days...

And oh, I guess I could tell you a few things that I have been doing lately.  I'm still loving on my hands, but now I'm really starting to voice my opinion like its nobodies business.  High pitch tones, you got it!  Making noises so long that I lose my breathe, you got it.  Rolling over, I've got that down.  Reaching for my toes, yep, been there done that!  I suppose I should wrap this up.  It's way past my bedtime. And if I want to wake Ma up at my normal 3:00 to 3:30 time frame, I best make sure I'm not super exhausted to sleep past it!  Night y'all!

April 4th-Aspen's Three Month Birthday!

Happy 3 months to my little "chub-chub". 
What he wanted me to share with you:
-My mom is too cheap to purchase those monthly Birthday stickers, so I had her dress me in my Birthday suit!
-My bowtie is upside down. That's because I wanted to be able to stare at it the right way. Sorry.
-My hands are my girlfriends. I constantly love playing with them.
-I wake up each morning with the biggest smile on my face. And why not, I get a big smile back from Ma.
Mastering the half roll is fun and frustrating.
-I know how to properly chill out in the bath.
-Basketball is an awesome sport to watch. Mainly if it involves the Hudson Pirates or Iowa State Cyclones.
Sleeping in my own room at night is -like a slumber party away from my parents.
-Losing hair at an early age is "ok", because I know it will grow back in the near term.

What his mom has learned:
-A bad day is made into a bright day with one look at the miracle two people in love, made.
-Life gets better with each passing day.
-Celebrating in my greatest accomplishments is minuscule in comparison to celebrating Aspen's milestones in the short time he has been in our lives!
